Yesterday’s Not Here is a musical project to capture the breadth of Pete Shelley’s musical and lyrical genius.
Update #2 – some brilliant and diverse tracks received so far – thank you. Looks like this is going to be a bumper edition.
If you have contributed already, we’ll need a band logo file and very short bio and links at some point please.
Songs contributed or pledged so far include:
- Telephone Operator (two versions)
- Pusher Man
- Love You More
- Millions Of People (No One Like You)
- Twilight
- Fiction Romance
- You Say You Don’t Love Me
- I Look Alone
- Homosapien
- Tour de France/Give It To Me
- Yesterday’s Not Here
- Everybody’s Happy Nowadays
With some exciting contributions on the boil too. Apologies if I have missed anybody’s contribution so far.
Don’t worry if your choice of song is already taken. It’s about our individual responses to Pete’s work, so different versions of the same song are fine. We appreciate that getting together and recording is difficult right now, so there’s no production deadline as such until we know better how lockdown will handled in different countries.
